Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about YouTube monetization, RPM calculation, and our creator tools.
How accurate is the YouTube Monetization Checker?
Our checker inspects official public YouTube metadata markers including active advertising delivery headers, channel membership buttons ("Join"), and YouTube Shopping / merchandise shelves. When a channel exhibits these badges, monetization status is confirmed with high confidence.
What are the current requirements to get monetized on YouTube?
To join the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), a channel currently needs at least 1,000 subscribers AND either 4,000 valid public watch hours in the past 12 months OR 10 million valid public Shorts views in the past 90 days, with 2-step verification enabled and no active Community Guidelines strikes.
Is YT Toolkit really 100% free with no login required?
Yes. All utilities on youtubemonetizationchecker.online are completely free to use without creating an account, entering credit card information, or signing up.
Can I download maximum 1080p resolution thumbnails?
Yes. If the original video uploader uploaded a 1080p or higher resolution thumbnail, YouTube generates a maxresdefault.jpg file, which our Thumbnail Downloader will grab in pristine quality.
Why does a channel show as not monetized even if it has ads?
YouTube occasionally serves platform ads on videos from non-partnered creators (with YouTube keeping 100% of the revenue), or copyright claim owners (Content ID) may monetize videos created by someone else. Our checker distinguishes between true creator monetization and standard platform delivery.
Do you store or track my YouTube search queries?
